The identity of Alloclubionoides paikwunensis (Kim and Jung, 1993) is clarified by examination of type specimen and the female of the species is redescribed with additional collections and illustrated. Alloclubionoides solea sp. nov. from the Dadohaehaesang Marine National Park, southern Korea is described with detailed illustrations, leg spination, trichobothrium patterns and scanning electron micrographs. The new species can be distinguished from other Alloclubionoides spiders by the male palpal organs, which feature an embolus with a crescent-shaped distal part surrounded by a large conductor, and by the female genitalia, which feature a large genital opening situated in the side of atrium and broadly spiral copulatory ducts. Furthermore, Coelotes samaksanensis Namkung, 2001 is found to be a junior synonym of A. paikwunensis.

This was examined in relation to the following environmental parameters: concentrations of metals (Cu, Zn, Fe, Pb, Cd), moisture and acidity of forest litter, projective cover of grass-shrub layer, density of canopy, influence of coniferous trees, average number of plant species per sample area. It is noted that abundances in 12 families (beetles: Carabidae, Staphylinidae; harvestmen: Phalangida, Nemastomatidae; spiders: Agelenidae, Clubionidae, Gnaphosidae, Hahniidae, Linyphiidae, Liocranidae, Lycosidae, Zoridae) change differently approaching the source of pollution (metals, SO2); for example, Nemastomatidae and Staphylinidae considerably decrease their abundance in vicinity of the factory in comparison with other families, and indeed some families of spiders (Gnaphosidae, Lycosidae) even increase it. It is shown that abundance changes in most families are generally determined by pollution and associated environmental parameters. Species rich taxa, due to their wide diversity of life-forms and ecological characteristics, are the most tolerant to the effects of pollutants. It is assumed that the tolerance of epigeic arthropods to pollution is determined by their life-forms, mainly in relation to nutrition and mode of forage, and position within the different soil horizons and above-ground vegetation strata.}, isbn = {1684-4866}, url = {Three verified bites from Hololena spiders (Family Agelenidae) are presented here. Two male victims, each over 100 kg weight (bitten by female spiders), experienced headaches and 4-h episodes of vomiting. A female bite victim (bitten by a male spider) experienced minor reaction. None sought medical attention: symptoms resolved in a few days. Although these incidents were not serious, reactions in the male victims were more dynamic than usual generic spider bites (minor edema, minor erythema). (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
