Abstract:

A new island endemic, Tegenaria scopifera sp.nov., is described, and its possible relationships with the species of the surrounding Mediterranean areas are discussed. Tegenaria fuesslini is recorded from the Balearic islands for the first time. The presence is confirmed of several previously recorded species, including Tegenaria herculea from Ibiza.
