Abstract:

A new agelenid genus, Allagelena, gen. nov. (Type species: Agelena bistriala Grube, 1861), is erected. Four species, Agelena bistriala Grube, 1861; Agelena difficilis Fox, 1936; Agelena gracilens C. L. Koch, 184 1; and Agelena opulenta (L. Koch, 1878), are transferred to the new genus. The male of A. bistriata is described for the first time. The relationships among the Chinese genera of Agelenidae is given. The new genus appears to be a sister group of Agelena.
