Abstract:

Spiders are able to detect chemicals with chemoreceptors situated on the distal part of all legs. We report here a morphological description and the distribution of these sensilla in Tegenaria atrica (Koch). Comparisons have been done between adults and young spiders. We studied also the differences between chemoreceptors and other threadlike sensilla.
